Lee, maybe there'll be a few of us who will wander out there to be your spectators.
Anyone interested in cruising to Blackhawk Farms?

YUP!
How 'bout the rest of you WCCC members, let's go for a cruise to cheer on our guys on the track!
Summer's about over, let's get some miles in that Cobra, life is short, ask Bob Malmen! We ain't gettin' any younger! I'm gonna be 70 in September. How many more miles am I lookin' at?) Bob was 58!
When you pull up to the Pearly Gates, they gonna ask ya, "How many fun miles did ya have in that Cobra?".
They ain't gonna ask ya, "Hey Blas, nice low milage Cobra, whatcha think she's worth?" ( Sorry Blas, not pickin' on ya, just that your Cobra is the first low mileage Cobra that came to my mind.)
Let's Ride!
Ralph

I was at Blackhawk all day Saturday with the River Valley/CES karting folks--memorial team race event for Adam Shautz--------what a nice day at the track seeing lots of old friends from back in those karting days with my boys-------seems like all the newly weds are now grand parents------
I'll miss seeing you guys at this event as I'll be at the Cordorva Dragway World Series of Drag Racing where Cruz Pedregon will be running the replica California Charger Firebird he built as a tribute to Keeling and me-------

Also, Arno (Avmaviator) was there racing and chased me down to say Hi-----Shifter kart pole was 1:13 if you guys want something to aim for----------

So are you saying that I still have a shot at seeing those Pearly Gates?

Windy City Cobras are so hot if a group of them showed up in Hell it would make it feel like it was freezing over--------

I am backing out of this track day for various reasons. However, I would recommend the trip just to see other cars and you could get a ride with others. Plus the weather looks great.

Lee, I still have plans to make a run to Blackhawk, probably Saturday but am open to Sunday if anyone else wants to go, either day works for me.
It's always more fun to travel as a small group but small groups are hard to come by with WCCC lately.

Fred, what time are you leaving and what route are you taking?
Call me or I'll call you in the morning if I don't hear from you.
Looks like out of 90 members we're it!

So I popped over to Byron to watch the Corvette Club make some runs down the strip.... No smoke and no noise....

Hey Blas, before the next time you start "popping" perhaps you should let us know. Fred and I plus a couple of his buds from the Corvette club did our popping all day Saturday.
It's always more fun to be popping with a bunch of poppers!

Ahhhhh.... SATURDAY was the operative word.....That would explain why I did not see anyone on SUNDAY.... I believe the title of the thread and the date of peoples attendance is what mixed me up....

"...What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."
(from the movie, "Cool Hand Luke.)
( here is a video clip of that famous line: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fuDDqU6n4o )

It was great meeting you at the Blackhawk race Jerry! It was a great weekend. I tried to find you before I left on Saturday but no luck. There were a lot of people there, which was great to see. I'll need to talk to you about my set up for next time. I did alright but could have done better.
But I am happy to say I finished 2nd in the Adam race
