After a dozen years, and many modifications, this is what my BOSS 351 Pantera looked like, the day the new owner drove her away.

I was having health problems myself, and my wife was terminally ill....it was time to let go...

Jeff -- tell us more about the Pantera. What's it like to live with one? Pros and cons? I always liked the overall shape. I've seen some that were pretty run down, but I've also seen some beautiful ones. And the sound is pretty terriffic -- at least from the outside.

Was it livable? Did you do the "normal" modifications -- cooling system upgrade, etc.?

Ben -
I really enjoyed this car. If I could have found an automatic trans to put in it, I'd probably still have it. Only other thing that bothered me about was - the top wouldn't go down.

It was fast and fun to drive. I got a set of the factory TSB's, and just started from the back (latest update), and performed any TSB updates I considered relevant.

It was not a difficult car to maintain, although mine was a little tougher than most with dual points and solid lifters. Adjusting the valves was a back-breaker. The Webers were fantastic sitting right behind your head - when you opened those babies up, you wondered if that magnificent deep-breathing sound was gonna suck your head in, too (in the Cobra, they are drowned out by side-pipes).
