Typical mid-day rain-cloud activity. You can even see traces of precip. here and there. It's a deceptive, photo, re scale, etc. The cloud in the center has actually shot up to form an icy "anvil head". This is looking NNW, exiting Blanche Channel. New Georgia island is to the right, and Rendova is at the left. This was a PT "playground" with lots of activity. Kolombangara is off-shot, around to the right and the famed Munda airfield and Blackett Strait are in the center distance.
