Just some advice for the future. I noticed you didnt paint the ends of your shifter rods. If the next time you have them out, heat up the threaded ends with a torch. Get them fairly hot and then dip them in tranny fluid. It will turn them a little black...but more so keep them from rusting for quite a long time.

Hi,
Thank you for the tip. However, the assembly in the picture was a "dry" run brfore final assembly. The threads we given a coat of grease to protect them.
A tip for you, old engine oil produces the best finish for oil blacking.
